European Incentive Award for Visual Arts 2015 Winner declared

The jury brought together solely for this occasion consisted of gallery proprietors Michael Schultz (Galerie Schultz Berlin, Seoul, Beijing), Lucie Drdova (Drdova Gallery, Prague), Ralf Lehmann (Galerie Gebr. Lehmann, Berlin, Dresden) and art collector Karsten Kretzschmar (Klassische Uhren Kretzschmar, Dresden) chose the winner of the Incentive Award for Visual Arts 2015 of the European Foundation for Culture. Kai Pflaume confirmed as presenter of the award ceremony on October 2nd

“To be able to present the European Award for Culture here, in Dresden, in this historic place, is a great honour for me.”, Kai Pflaume says. He will be the one to present the festivities on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the German reunification in the Frauenkirche Dresden. On June 16th he dwelled in Dresden and was lead through the church by minister Sebastian Feydt. “The rebuilding of the Frauenkirche is impressive. There is no better place for the award ceremony. I’m very much looking forward to this time in Dresden.”, Kai Pflaume remarks. More

Octobre 2nd 2015 – European Culture Awards Ceremony under the patronage of the European parliament

In this year the awarding ceremony has a special theme. The 25th anniversary of the German reunification is a day of exceptional relevance to all of Europe. With the fall of the Berlin wall and the reunification this great project for peace, which was introduced in the 1950s and took flight with the European unification process, finally became reality for the whole continent. H. M. Queen Silvia of Sweden receives the European Cultural Award “Pro Humanitate” for her social commitment

On the 26th of April 2015 H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden was honoured with the European Cultural Award “Pro Humanitate” during a festive award ceremony in the residence of the German Embassy in Rome. The laudatory speech was hold by the nobel laureate and president of the pontifical academy of sciences Professor Dr. Werner Arber. More

PRINZEN receive the European Cultural Prize

The German pop band DIE PRINZEN will receive the Cultural Prize for social engagement. Tilo Braune, President of the European Cultural Foundation Pro Europe, brought the good news before the concert of the band on Tuesday the 24th of March 2015 in the Semperoper. “With this prize we value the extraordinary commitment against violence and xenophobia”, explains Tilo Braune. “With their civil engagement the musicians strengthen moral courage in our society.” More

European Incentive Award for Visual Arts 2015

The European Foundation for Culture Pro Europe introduces the Incentive Award for Visual Arts which will be presented on the 2nd of October 2015 in the Church of Our Lady. All actors that will be displaying their artwork at the OSTRALE’O15, which will take part in Dresden from the 10th of July until the 27th of September with the guiding idea “HANDLE WITH CARE”, can take part in the competition for up-and-coming artists. Baking for a good cause – ‘Stollen’ for the Church of Our Lady in Dresden

Crowds in the traditional bakery Matzker in Dresden: The 6th grade of the IBB School from Dresden supports the bakery team while making the ‘Stollen’. Europe promotes Culture  – Start of Programming Period 2014 – 2020

The current EU Culture Support Programme "Creative Europe" (2014 – 2020) promotes the circulation of creative productions as well as the mobility of European cultural operators from the fields of music, film, theatre, media and literature beyond national borders. The programme builds up on inputs and relevant experience from former culture support programmes targeted at artists and cultural actors from Europe. More

Current Cultural Opportunities and Tenders 2014

KultNet is a comprehensive directory of artists, agencies, promoters, calls for tenders, seminars and festivals. With over 2000 members from the fields of visual and performing arts it renders a thorough overview over the national culture landscape. In its monthly newsletter, the portal informs about current cultural opportunities and tenders from several creative sectors and therewith fosters networks between cultural operators, projects and institutions. Recognizing Achievements For Europe and Work With Children

Helmut Schmidt Honours Manfred Stolpe with the European Culture Award
